Wow! This really is a slice of Hollywood heaven in Melbourne. The heritage house and gardens are regularly open to the public (National Trust members are free). The ground are extensive and include a veggie patch, fernery, lake, boating house & waterfall (to name a few). I would highly recommend bringing your camera if you are a photographer, both for the amazing house and views on offer.
Bring your family and friends to check out the historic house & gardens, remember to stop at the coffee shop for afternoon tea before you leave!

Went to Ripppnlea estate today for the start of the Miss Fisher costume exhibition. Great time– you can wear some of the clothes, coats or headgear from the show as you wander around, practise designing your own costumes for Miss Fisher and even get to try your hand at solving a murder, just like Miss Fisher does. Interesting for older kids too. Great little annex nearby for lunch or afternoon tea. Well worth a visit if you like clothes, historical gowns, a fan of the show, or want a fun couple of hours out.

I volunteered here for an exhibition and there is just so much to see! I cannot believe I have not been here before… during exhibitions, you can tour the grounds for free and also visit the café which has the best decorations.
The exhibition I attended is called the Miss Fisher’s Murder Mystery expo and you can dress up and also look at all the costumes from the set which was really amazing.
The fellow volunteers and guides were really knowledgeable and helpful… the grounds are beautiful and I wish I had visited earlier! I will certainly be taking visitors here for tea.
