In the coldest parts of Russia and China they eat ice-cream to keep warm in winter. Yes a very strange concept to me too. When I was in Harbin for the International Ice Festival I decided to give it a try and consume an ice-cream in –15degree weather. I’m not sure if I was any warmer but it was cool walking around with an ice-cream that didn’t melt. Taking this logic back home with me I decided on Froyo(or Frogurt whatever you want to call it) to keep me warm on a +10degree night(still cold by my standards). Yogurberry is self serve and they charge $ 20/kg. I didn’t like how the smallest cup size is actually quite big. Quite deceiving because you feel the need to fill the whole cup to the top. I resisted falling trap and it already came to $ 5.60 which was enough to share between two people. The mango tasted a bit sour against the sweet Taro but nevertheless it was yum! The logic doesn’t work in Sydney. I think I might stick to eating yogurt in summer. Yogurberry does serve other warm items though like churros which might be a better option for winter.
