Well, that was an ordeal. English these people do not speak. It took a good two minutes of asking what meat was in the dumplings to ascertain there was indeed meat in the dumplings. «wha mee? Yes, mee…» Same goes for asking no capsicum… as soon as she asked what, we just straight up said no vegetables. HOMG Food itself was okay. The dumpling skins(by the way, it was pork inside) were a bit on the thick side, but the homemade noodles were good.

Love the handmade noodles here. Any dish with the handmade noodles is a winner. Well we’ve only really had the chicken soup noodle(great for a cold day, although we’ve only had this through the current summer — haha!) and also the spicy noodle versions! The other great dish here is the spring pancakes with lamb. Most dishes are around the $ 10 mark which makes it great value. Shame whenever we go the lamb skewers are never available. It makes me think they don’t exist as I don’t think I’ve ever seen it on anyone else’s table either. Staff here are fairly friendly and helpful, much better than some of the other restaurants on the same street providing similar fare. Definately worth a visit for, of course, the handmade noodles!
