The Granny Smith Festival is an old festival that brings the community together. The community has changed over the years and the festival recognises this change with the large number of stalls and the live performances on at the same time in different areas of the main streets.
The fresh cooked foods presenting many different countries is a favourite of mine. Lunchtime is a real feast!
The information stalls are always interesting too. Wow, there was a stall on Radiation today… got lots of interest.
The best way to attend the festival is to go by train. Parking is impossible in the free council car parks and on the side streets.
Each year it is around the same time.
