Absolutely love a good roast duck and this place doesn’t disappoint. It’s flavourful and tender — not dry. Usually get both BBQ pork and the roast duck(sharing or not). Love how they give you the boneless option.

We frequented Good Fortune in Northbridge before we became loyal customers of the outlet at East Victoria Park. A lot of people were queuing outside for weeks when the restaurant first opened its doors on Albany Hwy. My girlfriends and I usually opted for the stir-fry green beans with mince pork as our vegetable meal and ordered the half of the boneless roast duck, roast pork & barbecue pork for sharing. My hubby is a fan of the crunchy crackling and super delicious roast pork; he usually ordered the roast pork with the rice meal when he went there, but I usually opted for meat and rice noodle. We were never let down by the taste of the food served or service. The service was quick with little fuss and the staff cleaned up dirty tables really swiftly. Parking along Albany Hwy could be a bit of a problem, but we usually parked behind IGA since it was only about a 5 minute walk to Good Fortune. There is a bottle shop right across the road which was very advantageous since Good Fortune is a BYO restaurant. The spacious restaurant was definitely a better option than the narrow and tight seating at the Good Fortune Northbridge. Both restaurants have a good flow of customers during dinner and lunch time either for people who ordered takeaway meals or for those who are just waiting to get a table at the restaurant. Fortunately, the turnover was quite rapid that we never waited longer than 10 – 15 minutes to get a table.

This stuff is legit! I’m from Singapore and this is spot on roasted duck rice. Bit on the pricey side.

Another work lunch spot for me. The guys I work with are partial to Duck and this is one of their favourite spots to go for it. As a big noodle fan I am working my way through the noodle list. The Kway Teow is a favourite although don’t expect it to taste like a lot if other places, think lighter frying with morw coriander. The duck, pork and rice combo is always good value and the serving sizes are always decent. The duck is delicious and juicey, never had a bad serve here. Always busy but food comes out prompt.

My favourite roast duck place in Perth! Been coming here since the first day I’ve arrived in Perth 4 years ago. Th taste is pretty standard, exactly what you would expect from a HK roast duck place, but I like their services. They can speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese, which is really useful too. And they also sell their pickled cabbages in containers! My favourite dish is the roast chicken with smashed ginger and garlic paste surrounded by spring onion infused oil! The chicken is always tender and juicy, and the paste tastes so GOOD! Do give it a try if you have the chance!

Wonderful food and great service! You must try the duck!!! An obvious favorite choice with most customers on the night. Family orientated business who went out of their way to accomodate our 5mth old child on what was an extremely busy night.

Delicious roast duck, and I love that you can get it boneless. Definitely one of my favorites. My only gripe is that sauces do contain MSG so I usually discard them.

Best roast duck in Perth… Cant go wrong with the boneless roast duck and pork combo. Serving size for take away is huge. Can easily feed two people if u put extra rice.

This is my favourite restaurant at the moment. I eat from here at least three times a week. I used to always order the bbq pork but now I have moved on to the roast pork. The take-away meal of roast pork with rice is only $ 10.50. The crisp crackle of the pork has been perfect every time I have visited. The portions are generous and priced fairly. I have eaten roast and bbq pork from all over the Perth and Vick Park area and nothing is as good as this place. Be aware that this place is closed on Tuesday’s, I have been caught out a couple of times with a rumbling belly.

I cannot go past this place without getting their BBQ duck and roast pork combo. A traditional Chinese restaurant with the carved wooden chairs and décor to match you can spot them with the BBQ ducks hanging in the window. I was never raised eating roast pork and crackling so it’s a treat for me to get it here and I love it! Duck also being more a of a restaurant dish I love having the chance to dry different cuisine. They have a large menu with plenty of variety and another restaurant in northbridge! And it’s sooo affordable

The duck — you must try the duck! I came here with a group of 7 people and we shared a whole range of yummy menu items. Some kind of green bean with mince dish, crunchy soft shell crab, lots and lots of duck and some kind of brisket curry. Everything we ordered came promptly and was so delicious. Highly recommended especially for that roast duck.

Roast duck was juicy. Roast pork was well marbled. Very busy on Saturday lunch. Solid wood tables & chairs. Quick service.

My partner and I fell in love with good fortune roast duck house in northbridge. So happy to find this restaurant in the vic park district. Love their clay hot pot and japanese silky bean curd. Can’t go wrong with their Kai Lan either. Highly recommend this place for a delicious non expensive meal!

Visited for my birthday this week and must admit, It didn’t live up to the reputation of the Northbridge location. While the restaurant was bigger and flashier the service was bad. They were quite busy but we didn’t receive our vegetable dish until we had finished off everything else. We complained a few times and no apologies were given. The food was good, as is expected, these guys know how to roast a duck & a pig! I would recommend ordering takeaway as you get better value for money and don’t have to worry about bad service.

Like going here, for the size of your meal this is good value for $$. They do takeaways also, I like it when you walk into a the place it a buzz, heaps of staff and tables rotating as patrons are leaving and others are waiting. Bottle O just down the street for BYO.

Second time here and still not a fan. I’ve had better roast duck elsewhere in terms of taste and quality and the crackling on the roast pork was not even crunchy. My seafood beancurd soup was just okay but can tell by the appearance, taste and ingredients used that the chef is not traditionally trained. I wanted garlic kai lan with ginger but I was told that is not possible which is fine so I opted for just garlic kai lan which was really salty. Service was lacking although the staff were polite which is positive for a casual style Asian restaurant. Considering the place is relatively new, it already looked and felt unclean and I wasn’t a fan of the décor. It was also not cheap, $ 30 per person for a casual dinner and we only ordered a soup, a small roast combination, vegetables and rice! It’s not bad, it just isn’t good. Eventhough it is the closest roast duck place for me, I will not be coming back.

We had the Peking duck for entrée and it was outstanding! Nice warm little pancakes with the most yummy glazed roast duck! Main, the large BBQ combination plate(BBQ Pork, roast duck and roast pork). All cooked to perfection, pork with crunchy crispy crackling, divine! + chinese vegies. What I liked about it that the BBQ platter came with gravy and sweet/sour meat sauce. Thats the real deal! The restaurant is fairly new(open Dec 2013) with nice rustic wooden tables. Service… standard for a chinese restaurant, you go for the food and most likely you’ll go back again!

My first visit was very rewarding at this popular new place in East Vic Park. I can see this restaurant becoming an institution in the area. It already has punters lining up out the door at times! The only reason I am not giving this five stars(yet!) is because I haven’t tried enough of the dishes. The large meat plate here is excellent, with the best roast pork I have had in Perth. Big call, I know, but worth coming to sample for yourself. We started with the Peking duck entrée that was delicious(serves five) and then kept it simple with the mixed meat plate, rice and ginger vegetables for main course. I was disappointed when I had to stop eating because I was starting to list to the side from too much good food. Excellent service and a balanced menu await you, folks. I’ll be back for more, no question about that!
