This place is always busy, ive had amazing cofffee here and I’ve had average. I got to recommend their bagels, that is. why i give em a 4. I always get the bagel with jalapeño creame and omg absolutely amazing. The place is good for a group, takeaway or just chill out session but do yourself a favour and get the bagels, yum!

I like my morning coffees from Antz inya Pantz. Their coffee is great and their premises is spacious unlike most of The cafes on the Albany highway strip. It does get a little busy at times and when it is busy, its easy to get a little confused if if its your order they are calling out. Especially if you don’t pay attention to the crowd of customers who were waiting before you. Cyclists do visit this café but they don’t seem to be same the meatheads terrorising the streets when we are trying to drive to work. These cyclists ride the old school racer bikes so I dislike them the least. Their tight lycra clothing is still challenging on my eyes, but I need my morning coffees so I am forced to endure them.

I’m happy to say that I’ve been a customer of Antz Inya Pantz for almost a decade now, from its original days at 968 Albany Hwy(the space that is now their coffee roastery and takeaway) to its present inception in a larger premises across the road. I still frequent the eccentric, brightly coloured café and roastery at least once per week for flat whites, Cold Brew and bagels. Most of the staff know my name and it honestly feels like I’m visiting friends. Antz is managed by Craig and Flavia, the original owner-manager team who started the tiny roastery over 10 years ago. You’ll still see both of them in the shop throughout the week despite opening a sister venue in Fremantle(39 Adelaide street, opposite the Film and Television Institute/FTI) several months ago. Both Craig and Flavia have become recognisable in Vic Park, not only for their coffee but for their commitment to the local community. The shop stocks local Vic Park honey, hosts art exhibitions from local artists, runs a sustainable rear community garden and promotes the hire and training of local residents as much as possible. Flavia was also instrumental to the establishment of the ‘Vic Park Collective’ a couple of years ago, a group of passionate local business owners and residents who meet regularly to organise public events and stimulate community knowledge/involvement in local issues. In terms of the coffee itself, Antz is a small boutique roaster that uses single origin, sustainably sourced beans. They roast to supply their own Elektra machines in-store whilst selling beans direct to the public and other Perth cafes. In store, they promote a ‘Bean of the Week’ so customers can try different blends. Each time I’ve visited, the flavour has been a little different but equally delicious(they use local creamy Bannister Downs milk which always leads to a good result!). On hot days, my regular order is a blended iced coffee($ 6) or occasionally, a ‘Cold Brew’ cold drip. I’ve also squirrelled some Cold Brew home to make tiramisu on a suggestion from Antz staff(as an alternative to hot espresso). It worked perfectly! The bagels at Antz are sourced via ‘The Holy Bagel Company’, a local startup that practices the traditional boiled bagel method. I like the cinnamon raisin, toasted with butter, but the savoury varieties are also delicious with ‘schmears’(flavoured cream cheese) or ‘The Works’(cream cheese, ham and cheddar). They also stock a variety of traditional baked goods, chia puddings and other raw vegan treats from local Carlisle store, ‘Raw by Chris’. The banana bread is delicious. All in all, this is a friendly neighbourhood café that I hope remains part of the Vic Park landscape for years to come. My only criticism is that it’s sometimes too busy so I can’t find a seat(actually, don’t go there ok? It’s too popular already!)

Great coffee shop. Not squishy or cramped in side and great tasting coffee.

Review for the roasting Antz outlet across the road from the café store. This would undoubtedly be in the top five coffee outlets in the city. Big call but the quality of their coffee holds its own. Making your way in past the fresh coffee bean bags, the huge roasting machine, to the staff who not only appreciate a good blend, but understand how to make it happen. If you have never been to the store, your first coffee is free. Being a friend, theirs is too. So much bad coffee in Perth, Antz satisfies as good as Lygon street in Melbourne.

This is one of my favourite coffee shops in Perth, amazing coffee and the bagels they have are nice. I also buy coffee beans from here to use at home, and even brought a moccamaster machine from them. I highly recommend this place. The coffee is so smooth!

Came back here after about a year and a half and it’s exactly the same as I remember, which is a good thing . Nice coffee good service(also about the fastest coffee if you’re in a rush) I don’t do milk in my coffee but everyone that I know does and what they rave about is the milk used by antz to make a delicious coffee . This is a real slice of vic park, the roaster is up and across the road a couple of hundred meters — the beans change daily which makes for excellent variety . They do a cold filtered brew as well which I have tried but didn’t really like — again I believe it’s suppose to be mixed with milk or ice cream to make a tasty beverage . Staff are great and for what keeps bringing me back time and time again is the bagels ! They have a bagel station this morning I had some awesome herb and salt bagel with the works which includes cream cheese /cheese and ham the ultimate breakfast on the go I haven’t found their equal . Big recommend go check it out.

So happy to have antz as my local coffee shop. Delicious coffee with changing beans that they have roasted. So cheap! And all the staff are so lovely. So much love :)

They roast their own beans and coffee nerds like them. An eclectic café specialising in coffee and thats really it. Friendly staff, free WiFi, Holy Bagels to snack on plus a small range of baked sweets means this isn’t really a place to come n have a meal, but perfect to sit down on one of their armchairs or couches and read, or get some work done. 3 PowerPoint’s, their own cold brew(bottled and on tap) and chilled out tunes means I live here on school holidays when trying to plan.

Oh my goodness what delightful coffee with the best place to just sit and think about life on all of the VP strip. The interior is so cosy and warm but they also have a small amount of outdoor seating so you can soak up those rays with some potted plants to keep you company. Go with your friends, go alone, just go and enjoy the brilliant brew and friendly service.

I am currently house sitting in East Vic Park and my sister recommended that I visit Antz Inya Pantz for some beans. After asking the girl if I can use my card, I was very surprised to find out that the first coffee was FREE!!! Completely FREE!!! Free is definitely my favourite word. I ordered a take away flat white(regular as any larger, the coffee becomes too milky). The service was very friendly and the same girl helped me choose some coffee beans. Beans are $ 12 for 250g and $ 19 for 500g. I should have opted for the 500g in the end. The flat white I ordered was smooth and creamy but very slightly weaker than my liking but it was free so can’t complain. It may have been the the type of bean, the girl said that it is not as strong as the coffee beans I selected. I will definitely be back though as the staff were amazingly friendly and offered me some good advice on selecting coffee. They change their beans every day or so too so I will try it again and write another review. The décor was simple and tasteful. I’m not too keen on the literal logo but it might grow on me. I loved the fact that the coffee came in a beautifully organic looking brown paper bag. I can’t wait to taste it tomorrow morning!

Antz is the closest thing you’ll find to the central park coffee house this side of reality. The staff are friendly and quickly get to know who you are and how you take your coffee. The atmosphere is chill as a cucumber and there’s plenty of areas to sit and read, write or just melt into a chair. The owner Craig Muzeroll is a coffee genius and uses the best ingredients(hand selected beans and in house roasting and water filtering are only the beginning) to brew you the perfect morning every day. After he’s made you the best coffee you’ve ever had he’ll soon introduce you to the ‘cold brew’ and blow your mind all over again. If you’re hungry for a snack Antz do bagels and small cakes, but don’t expect a big breakfast because that’s not what they’re there for. It’s all about the coffee!

No faults here. Great coffee, friendly baristas and fair prices. It occasionally happens so that the coffee tastes quite different day to day, but not in a bad way. Also ive been offered the option to pay later as I didn’t have cash, which is rather country-like and makes you feel like you belong. You know, it’s the leftover good feel of 80s where you could leave your door unlocked and your money under your pillow. Oh, and their beans are delicious whilst reasonably priced. They can almost, almost compete with 5 Senses. Almost.

Dropped the ball under pressure? I have visited Antz a couple of times over the years in their current and previous location. I was surprised at how busy they had become in the last couple of years I had not been there. We visited on Sunday in our continuing quest for a pour-over. It was around 11am and they were quite busy. When we went to order a pour-over the girl looked like a rabbit in the headlights when we asked, she was clearly out of her comfort zone. She was able to blurt out a series of answers first being we don’t do them, the second being oh we’re very busy can’t you just have an espresso based drink and then finally oh go through to the other room, where we do what you’re asking for. Fortunately after that disaster the barista who manned the pour-over end of the shop was a lot more relaxed and able to make our drinks. We were able to choose from their large selection of coffee beans(which you can purchase for home use) and then we had the option of a V60 pour-over or trying their Technivorm Moccamaster. The Moccamaster from what I can tell and my brief research is a fancier version of a regular drip coffee machine(similar to what you might see in Macca’s and«American Diners»). Surprisingly with the choice of bean my wife selected it produced a decent cup of coffee, I was certainly surprised! My pour-over on the other hand was alright, but I suspect either the beans weren’t as fresh as they could have been or the grind was off. All in all the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. When we did get what we want the service was friendly. Since it was our first time there the coffee was complimentary. Unfortunately the coffee to me was average, although I have had great coffee from there in the past. I will probably give it another shot at some point, but its a fair trek for us so it won’t be any time soon and possibly at a quieter time.

I do love this place for its simplicity. No, they don’t cook a big breakfast; no, they don’t have expensive designer couches to lounge on; and, no, they don’t have table service… BUT they do have cheeky, friendly staff. They serve bagels from the Bagel Bar and cookies, muffins and slices if they take your fancy. They have great coffee and BIG mugs, if a double hit is your way to start the day. The décor is quirky and you can share the big table in the shopfront window with strangers… because that’s the way to meet people, folks! Yes, give this a go. Bring your own takeaway mug, see if you can grab a seat… and just enjoy the coffee because that’s what these guys are here for!

Only come here for the coffee — their selection of food and treats is very limited. But who cares? Their coffee is GREAT! If you don’t like their coffee, tell them! Their bean is changed daily, guaranteeing you a different daily taste. This may scare off some who are unfamiliar with the varieties. The coffee is even roasted across the road for ultimate freshness. The staff is friendly and bubbly, but don’t let the owner scare you — he may seem surly but he is a quirky character under that gruff exterior. If you don’t like Coffee, give their Rooibos Tea a go — it is quite special. The place can get quite busy at times, so remember to bring a Keep Cup and enjoy your beverage in the comfort of your own home. This is my local. Their coffee runs through my veins. Not once have I accepted a free coffee from them as I’m more than happy to pay for every cup I drink.

I think Antz inya Pantz was aiming for funky and hip, they overshot and landed somewhere near try hard. The service is the best, with friendly and quick service. Antz inya Pantz just does coffee. That’s it. There is no food or anything else but coffee and coffee beans. There coffee is some of the best I have tasted in Perth. Smooth. Creamy, just the right strength, without the bitter bite. I think I would prefer to have something tasty to go with my coffee. But, if I need delicous, good quality coffee at excellent prices this is the place to go.

For service, they get top points. I came to get a take-away coffee sans cash and they don’t have EFPTOS, but all was good because they gave me my coffee FREE because it was my first time. The surrounds are colorful and funky; like Nickelodeon meets Friends, meets ant farm. The walls are covered with old coffee bean sacks, fire engine red paints the door and window frames and 90s kitsch objects dot the room; bright sofas, a blue ladder and a vase of yellow sunflowers. Whilst I grant kudos for the generous offer, I have to say the décor felt a bit cheesy and the coffee fell below par. It’s a shame, this could have been a 5⁄5.
