East Fremantle Festival

Lovely way to spend an afternoon leading up to Christmas looking for Christmas presents and wandering around with friends. Although my friend lamented afterwards that she actually bought more for herself than other people.
They close down the whole street and you can wander along looking at stalls. So many people, and such a variety of produce.
My favourite stand was the alcohol tent (of course), where you payed $ 5 entry and could try a variety of different wines, as well as a couple of gins, ciders, and beers. Was great fun, and they also gave you a festival discount to buy any bottles at the end.
The festival was very kid friendly. The band let a couple of kids up on stage to dance with them, everywhere you looked were kids with these random gecko on stick toys, and the most entrepreneurial ones even had their own stalls selling hairbands they had made or hawking soft drinks.
After visiting the Bazaar Chrismtas Market at the Fremantle Arts Centre, the George Street Market was refreshingly well priced.
Only open for 1 day in the lead up to christmas, but well worth a visit. I know I will be back next year :)
