After a year spent in Australia you tend to forget what crispy bread means. I’ve been to many«bakeries» and I’ve been disappointed by 99% of them. Scully’s has finally proved me wrong, you CAN find good bread in this country :) the staff are really welcoming and friendly. If you too are a spoiled European you shouldn’t be disappointed here.

A nice spot for brekky. The coffee is great — proper short black, and excellent cappuccino. We enjoyed the hazelnut French toast, truly delightful; and a tasty ham, tomato and cheese croissant. The staff a friendly and the service efficient. The produce section is very dangerous be warned you can easily spend money in there. Scully’s is definitely a place to visit for foodies!

Many moons ago when I was a youngin’ fresh to Brisbane, I lived not more than 500metres from where Scully’s now calls home. Except back then it was a petrol station. Had it been Scully’s, well, let’s just say I would have been poorer than I was back then as a young graduate. This café-slash-grocer is for any gourmet seeker, with shelves packed with condiments out the wahzoo. There’s fresh produce, meats and cheeses to round it out and the café next door just ads temptation for a snack to tide you over until you’re home.
