Siyia has possibly the best long black I have ever had, coffee made the old fashioned way using roasted coffee beans. Not that emperors new clothes green beans shit they serve at all the new hipster cafes. No hipster in site, the real fitzroyals pound this terrazzo Monday to Friday. that’s day, no nights . You need to be an early bird to catch the daily breakfast offer but the omelette’s a worth the wake up call. Breakfast is over by 11am. Lunch is all about Cypriot style souvlaki cooked over hot coals, nothing like it in Melbourne. It’s straight from Nicosia style. Daily fresh salads, soups & some specialty Greek style meals. If the cook feels like it ! Pray you get the right day for ‘soupa louvana’(yellow split pea soup) delicious . Must try when your on Smith st.

Freshly squeezed juices before ¾pm and if you get the juice rush later in the day, call the owner and he is happy to whip one up for u. Good breakfast and lunch selection too, yummy vego pies, mm. ask the hot barista for the chai, he will tell you that it’s Calmer Sutra(Kama wha!!!) if you’re lucky he will also show you a pic of his dog whose name tattooed on his arm, all together now«aaaaaawwwww» If its a nice day, Take advantage of Siyia’s decent street seating and watch smith st go by… Or watch the hot barista whip you some calmer sutra ;)

Siyia is possibly the most expensive café I have ever been to however it definitely reflects the quality of this café/Meditteranean style food that you can imagine Nonna would have cooked. Every day there are fresh choices of meals made from mostly organic food. I was more than willing to spend the $ 10+ dollars for their AMAZING free-range chicken, avocado and secret mayo bagel. I have also heard that this is a great destination for breakfast, boasting one of the best omelettes in town. But how to choose? There are 4 available to try, all at around the $ 15 mark. Expensive, but worth the moolah.
