This café has a nice location with a great view overlooking Pittwater. We were part of a large group for a Sunday lunch though, and as we found, this place can get very busy. The food here was quite tasty — bread and dips for entrée. For mains we had a pizza and chips, other members of the party all enjoyed their food which included Burgers, salads and fish and chips. There were a couple of things that let this place down — they seemed to be struggling with the amount of people that were there. Although the food arrived promptly, we were all pretty squashed in, and we also observed the owner or manager of this place being quite rude to his staff and some of the customers, including my father being told off because his seat was at a funny angle — only because we were so cramped to begin with. We also had some meals that were missed, delivered to the wrong table or delivered minus the required cutlery On a quieter day this place would be ideal, But i don’t think i will rush back there on a Sunny Sunday.

Whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner, the Waterfront Café is a place I love to visit, with its superb views across Pittwater, beautiful whatever the weather or time of day, and I’ve always been happy with the food. Breakfast includes the standards, the full Aussie breakfast, plus things like eggs benedict and lighter options(prices around $ 10-$ 15). Lunch and dinner includes pasta and pizza, seafood, hamburgers, salads, steak(prices around $ 15-$ 25). Then there’s live jazz in the afternoon on the first Sunday of the month, and every Friday night. Love it.
