This place is not really worthy of a review. It’s just a shop. That serves food. I’m not a huge phở fan anyhow but it was a stormy night and it was close by my hotel. There were a lot a people there which I took as a good sign. I think on reflection they’re just povo students. They have 3 menus. Phở and other noodle-ish, vaguely Vietnamese dishes. Steak and other grilled meats with chips. And laksa. Weird. I had phở. Beef… the cooked version as distinctly noted in the menu. The flavour was really not good. There were no sauces. Bean shoots… which I do love… some Thai basil… which I hate… chillis and a lemon wedge. It was not satisfying. The meat was fatty. You know that gross cheap fatty beef flavour? That was the flavour. I was only $ 12 poorer for it but I would have to say even that was too much considering what it is. Give this place a miss, unless it’s a stormy night and you happen to be staying next door.

I’ve only stuck to the same few dishes and so far so good. The wait staff is always polite and wearing a smile. The place itself is a simple dine-in or takeaway place, nothing fancy but good enough for the price you pay.

Literally the cheapest and best vietnamese restaurant in the city. They also serve a $ 11 steak that tastes amazing for that price!

This place looks a bit more tidy than the average Vietnamese place i have been to and has a more extensive menu. I had to try the raw beef phö, which had been highly recommended. Oh my, the broth was exceptionally tasty, with the right balance of spice and it was a large bowl too. I had the no coriander version, btw, which I had to write down to the attendant, who spoke broken English. In a way, that made it more authentic. Overall, a great experience.

The place has been refurbished and taken a new life as a Vietnamese restaurant with yummy phở(they also have wagyu beef phở. But I personally can’t tell the difference and whether it’s worth 70% more) The food is average. Not fantastic but not bad for the price range. Good for a quiet lunch with small groups.

Not sure about this place — I went one or twice and the food was ok but since x’mas of 2013 I havent seen this place opens? WTF? Maybe this was just a decoy of the local mafia activities? Money laundering, anyone? LOL!
