Old Vogue

Filling up the old Balatro Theatre, Old Vogue is an antique store with a friendly, disorganised sort of feel. It doesn’t exude the slick ultra-​cool, turned up nose attitude of some of the retro/​antique places in Surry Hills or Redfern, instead, the staff seem to genuinely like old stuff, and don’t push you too hard to buy.
They also have an ebay store, so you can browse virtually, and then try the furniture out in-​house. The other thing Old Vogue does is vintage threads — and if you’re looking for an old prom dress, or a quality 60s day dress, or an old wedding gown, they can probably help. The clothes are all in good condition, though quite pricy. They also have shoes and a big rack of leather jackets. While this shop is nothing special by overseas standards, for Aussie vintage stores they do alright, and *some* of their stuff isn’t outrageously expensive…
