This gym is tops! $ 6.95 a week and the selection of machines and free weights is awesome. Definitely worth trying to make it during the day if possible as nights can get a little crowded and I have to say I was rather intimidated by the guys in the free weight area. There is no ladies only weight areas so you either need to get comfortable amongst the big guys or head in when it’s quiet. There is a distinct lack of mirrors in this place which is awesome because let’s be honest who wants to stare at their jiggly bit bouncing around while they’re running! Staff are super friendly and more than happy to help if needed.

They say you get what you pay for so I’ve never really felt cheated at crunch UNTIL today. You know when you’re 80% done with your workout on day 2 back into the routine… The glutes and hammies are quivering with every jump squat, and all that’s getting you through are those fitspo b — -es and the knowledge that at the end of «dance(a$$)» comes something less embarrassing(«sheezus»). What’s the worst thing that could possibly happen? A vicious olfactory attack. No, it’s not Mega Smelly Girl. It’s some basic smelly girl who took a literal shower in a calgon body mist in lieu of washing yesterday’s gym clothes. Does crunch have control over this? YES! I met a gym manager last week and the first question I asked was re: skunk guests. In other establishments, they have a talk with guests who assault the senses of other guests at their most vulnerable. You’re there gasping for air, and POW! A giant wave of stale b.o. and children’s chemistry kit version of wild flowers wafts up your mouth and nose. I cash still taste it. That $ 7/week is $ 7 too much for this crap.

This $hit cray. I’m paying $ 6.95 a week for a fully equipped gym. That’s less than a coffee! Fine it’s not, but it’s not far off. And compare that to the $ 20+ I was paying for a gym with inferior facilities prior to joining Crunch, and I lament for all my lost dollars for those long two years before this place came to town. The gym is epic, it’s got everything. The staff are young and just the tiniest bit General-Pants-too-cool-for-school, but they’re super friendly and very helpful, esp. if you need help with anything, so that’s a win right there. Best if you avoid peak hours — where isn’t, right? — and another thing I found out the other day. .. if you upgrade to Peak M’ship($ 10.95/week) you can bring a buddy along to train for free. The hell! How are these people still in bidness? Eh, who cares, it’s a great deal and I’mma keep hitting it.
