465 The Avenue

Very accomodating waiter, they fully appreciated that we were in a rush and sped up food service. A circular indoor structure with the main bar on a half surround — it is very talkative with tavern vibes and wednesday night music!

This is the first restaurant I went to upon moving to Sydney. A good and friendly spot to enjoy a meal with your work colleagues midweek.
The menu provides a decent selection of comforting Pub food. They didn’t give us a choice on how did we want out meat cooked though, which is something I would have expected in a place like this.
The cost of the meal did feel a tad on the high side, but then again, I’m still figuring out the average cost of eating out in Sydney.
Great atmosphere and attentive service. You won’t be dissapointed.

Why doesn’t Chatswood have any cool bars? Like, it’s growing. Exploding, almost. Nobody but oil barons and foreign princes can afford property here now. But there’s no small bars, and no late-​night nightlife. Mike Baird, what have you done here? And why doesn’t anyone know about it?
Anyway, that’s clearly a digression. This place bucks the no-​bar trend, in fact it’s the only place worth drinking in Chatty. (Chelsea Hotel and The Orchard are both soulless). It’s *gasp* trendy, if I can say that and not sound like a dag. Probably too late for that. Ah well.
There’s craft beers you’ve never heard of and a thoughtful wine list and creative (and affordable!) cocktails and lots of different places to sit depending on whether you’re on a date, a corporate lunch, or a catch-​up with an old friend that likes playing pool. Magical trees covered in fairy lights welcome you, there’s couches, and fun outdoor areas. Come. Drink. Liven Chatswood up with the sound of your laughter and Viking-​like merry-​making.

Good times great place. Highly recommended!
The funky atmosphere is only topped by the yummy food.

I came here with my awesome lovely lady love and had one of the most wonderful nights ever. First, the atmosphere is amazing. Think Spiegeltent meets fine and funky dining. Next, the food. Oh. My. Gosh. We had a selection of small plates and every one was divine. Highly recommend in particular the halloumi dish and the ohmylord amazing kangaroo rump. Finally the staff were great — really lovely people. Well done, The Avenue! You are my new favourite night out.

Come one come all! I was so impressed with the food here I am definitely coming back. The food pricing is very moderate, serving sizes are healthy and the atmosphere is on point. I did want to give them a 3 though, the service was pretty slow and for a Thursday, they should have had extra wait staff. We waited about 20 minutes after being seated to have the waiter attend to our table. The food did come out moderately fast though which was a saving grace. And it was heavenly. Did I mention I love the vibe? There’s no hipsterness associated with the venue, which is a breathe of fresh air.

What an upgrade for Chatswood! Finally an upmarket, sophisticated space with ambience to rival some of the trendiest places in Sydney.

This was my first visit to 465 and I loved it. We went for a quick breakfast but will definitely return for drinks and dinner. Loved the décor.
