Ok, let’s just cut right to the chase shall we — it’s BYO spirits and wine, so if you have no idea what Russian cuisine and celebrating is all about, then this is definitely the restaurant for you! You’ll feel like you’ve just sat down at someone’s Russian wedding, but looks can be deceiving, because as tacky as this restaurant seems, decked out with randomly placed nautical objects, outrageous photographs, matching chair and table linens, green and red Christmas lights and a dance floor complete with Russian cover band, there’s actually a vibrant, fun-filled atmosphere and quality food to be enjoyed amongst strangers and friends. The menu is dedicated to authentic Russian cuisine from cottage cheese pancakes to spatchcock and meat platters; the food will absolutely impress your senses and your wallet. You won’t dine in a more unfamiliar yet entertaining setting, and if your Russian is any good you can take part in some Russian karaōke that happens every Saturday night, otherwise if singing isn’t your forte, you can pull out those dance moves you’ve been savouring up in between vodka shots! Tip: Entire menu is available for take away. Probably best to dine on a Friday/Saturday night when the restaurant is more vibrant and less awkward!
