I went to La Face to get ‘Xtreme’ eyelash extensions, where you get giant fake lashes bonded to your natural lashes. I’d never had this procedure done anywhere before, so I can’t compare it to other salons, but given I was in the chair for over two hours it was a very good experience — I was so chilled out I actually fell asleep at one point!
The lady who did my lashes seemed very experienced and confident, which put me at ease. The results were fantastic — my lashes didn’t look ‘fake’, but they were significantly longer, darker and thinker meaning I didn’t have to wear mascara. I had it as a one-​off treatment, and was told they would last from 2 – 4 weeks in total before my lashes naturally fell out. They looked really good up until week 3, when they started to fall, so I was increasingly patchy for another 2 weeks until they were completely gone. If I did it again in future, I’d commit to getting refills every 3 weeks to maintain them (refills take less than an hour and are cheaper).
