Railway Hotel Brunswick

There’s lot of events held here which are really top notch if you’re looking for pounding beats and a pretty good dance crowd. I haven’t had any issues with the bartenders and there’s lots of spaces to hangout in between having a boogie. The crowd has always been consistently friendly.
The security staff seem to be frequently terrible though. Hassling some of the most harmless people I know while somehow missing the actual aggressive tools that are scattered through any big crowd.

Love this place. Such good vibes, music and setting. Great night had and fantastic food. $ 10 pizzas were delish.

With exception of the quality of the beer everything in this venue has gone downhill extremely rapidly. However the bar staff are appalling, slow to serve, they have no idea about the beers and they can’t remember an order, even when repeated. I fear this lacklustre bunch will soon have filthy pipes and dreadful beer.
Everything about the seating is uncomfortable to an extreme. The plywood furniture nailed together so badly it rips your clothes or the worn out second hand sofas. The use of space is bad, it already smells like it’s been here for 20 years (in which case the Op Shop furniture would be authentic). The men’s toilets stink as badly as a public toilet too.
The food now is, like every other place, is trying to cater for poor students. It’s low quality but it’s relatively cheap but aimed for the cheapest denominations. It’s an astronomical fail from the start.
Oh and often you have to pay to go to the back garden which is so smokey it makes me feel sick.
I said I’d give this another go — sadly it’s my last.

This place is slowly becoming our local. Great for casual catch up drinks. A hipster vibe but without the tossers that some hipster places can bring. Great food for a cheap price and cheap drinks especially beer from 4−9pm with there $ 9 jugs. I would defiantly recommend checking it out if you live in Brunswick, you will find yourself going back.
