Lovely halal cuts of meat that always appear super fresh. The meat seems more expensive than other halal butchers but I feel its worth it. I now choose this place over Medina Halal Meats

This is by fay the BEST butcher I’ve tried along Sydney Rd, and I’ve tried a lot!
They have a fabulous array of meats and cuts and specialise in goat and Turkish small goods.
The quality is always exceptional, I’ve never had a dud. From lamb legs to steaks to sausages.
The staff are helpful in preparing special cuts, they’ll always offer to slice the end of a leg of lamb to help it fit in the oven, and will give you the low down on what’s good & how it’s best prepared — IF you’re in during the week. The weekends can end up a bit of a jostling match, the rest of Brunswick knows about this joint!

If you like your meat in all the recognisable Western cuts, this ain’t the place for you. If you want your animals killed and prepared in a Halal-​friendly way, this place rules.
Istanbul Halal Meats sports a massive range of chopped lamb, goat and beef. The diced stuff is the best and man is it cheap. It can get a bit pushy in there at times so you gotta hold your cool and stand strong against the elderly women and brawny men lining up for their weekly meat treats.
When I lived near this place, I’d drop in once a week for some diced goods and I swear, they never even remembered me. But outside the distinct lack of customer service, they have awesome meats and associated condiments. Plus you can always get a pizza from the joint next door while you’re there. One of Sydney Road’s hidden gems.
