Each Peach

Baking their own cakes and delicacies is just one reason to find yourself in the quaint magic that is Each Peach. Located at the tail end of Lygon St, just before Albion St, don’t be fooled by the lack of light coming out of the café, yes, they’re open. One wall is taken up by a marvelous bookshelf crammed full of books — cooking, children’s, philosophy all nestled together — and the wafting from the ovens and the coffee add to the inviting nature of the place. Tragic outdoor furniture — all white and frilly — is also available for seating, though I recommend the inside. The windows let you view the street and you can stay warm. Of all the delicacies available — cakes, tarts, savoury goodnesses — the winner is the Moreo. Think of an Oreo, but four times as big and gloriously chocolatey.
