Ingredients:
1 Sunday afternoon
1 take-​away (Veneziano) coffee from Honor Food conveniently located on Sydney Street, New Farm.
1 sweet treat from Honor’s well-​stocked cake cabinet. There’s I Heart Brownies brownies, danishes, and croissants
Optional: pick something more substantial to eat from their classic café menu.
Method:
Be greeted by the cheery owners of this new New Farm café and make your order. Wait for your take-​away treats in their outdoor courtyard and begin to watch the hustle of New Farm wander by. Get take-​away, stand on curbside, look right, look left and when clear cross the street to New Farm Park. Find suitably grassy knoll to indulge in your coffee, cake and the perfect park day in New Farm Park.

Honor Food Co, is a great find on the corner of Brunswick & Sydney St New Farm, right across from New Farm Park.
Erin & Emily, who have a background in catering, saw an opportunity to share with locals, food that «honors» fresh ingredients and recipes, hence the name. Honorfoodco occupies a small space, perfect for a quick bite or takeaway,
but there are some long tables on the side fit for a friendly gathering. The menu is an «All day eats» affair, with a variety
of toasts, croissants, bircher mueslis, salads, & heftier choices like «breakfast boards», bratwurst buns & a steak sandwich.
We loved that being so close to the park, Hnonorfoodco offers «picnic in the park» options, that are perfect for sharing.
In the end we decided to go with the lunch offering of tender chicken & tasty bacon in a brioche bun with fresh greens, truss tomatoes & harissa
mayo ($ 8.50). Fresh made & all packed up in a lovely take-​away box for an impromptu picnic with friends. Our verdict? This is the best sandwich that we’ve had in a long while! Generous serving, great value & just perfect! Simple but ridiculously yummy.
