It is what it is. After living in the city for 10 years i know I’ve been spoiled. I don’t want to sound like a snob but If it was in the city I’d give less stars. I guess for River st Ballina I can’t complain. Staff was super friendly, and there was a line out the door for coffee so(just a guess as I don’t drink coffee) it must be good! Service was quick & the meal was nothing overly special but definitely nothing to complain about.

Returned with the older two spawn. Second visit was as delightful as the first. I revisited the blueberry tart and latte. The girls went for iced chocolates and a chocolate & raspberry muffin(gluten free it turns out) and a Thai coconut muffin with cheesecake centre. Some of the other options included chocolate mudcake(gf), shortcrust apple pie, citron tarts, orange & poppyseed cake, and Jaffa cakes(gf) — all were individual personal cakes/pies! We were just as impressed this visit with service and taste. The gluten-free chocolate & raspberry was impressive, BTW. Moist, not crumbly, and rich with flavour. Erin’s only complaint was that it could have used a little more raspberry. Briannah’s Thai coconut was creamy and buttery with a nice amount of grated coconut. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in Ballina.

Best coffee in town! Staff are always lovely and up for a chat! I will be driving home from Brisbane for a coffee every now and then!
