I needed a café that opened early and shut early evening due to my job as a Flight Instructor. I ended up coming here for over 7+years. The Bee Stings, Vanilla Slices and Egg/Bacon/Cheese Toasties are my favourites. Coffees are ok. Prices are average for the quality; it’s consistent quality food though. Signing up and using their loyalty card lowers the cost a bit if you come regularly. Staff are friendly. Family friendly.

The pies and cakes are delicious here. We are from Melbourne stayed for the weekend and want to come again just to eat here. They could have made more effort to clean the tables. And the customer service was horrible. Not sure how they employ at this place but lucky they make good pies and cakes. Coffee was no good though.

This chain is expanding around country Victoria. Great pastries both savoury and sweet, a good spot to stop if you’r eon the road to points west from Melbourne.

With the beautiful old building that this place is in, you’d almost hope that it’s a decent place to eat, although I’ve definitely had better. The prices here are quite high for a sandwich that you could definitely make at home better, the scones and rolls are lacking the flavour that you would hope for and the coffee is just Meh. It just seems like a massive production line type bakery that’s completely commercialised. If they spent more money on their products instead of all the marketing items they seem to have, they might do a bit better. I definitely will not be venturing here again!

Solid 5 stars for their bee sting cake! They do an excellent job for exactly what they are famous for– bee sting! For those of you who do not know what a bee sting is, it is a German dessert with caramelized almonds filled with custard. At Beechworth Bakery, their bee sting cake is slightly improvised with a «sweet, melt-in-your-mouth bun that is lightly spread with apricot jam, filled with creamy custard, and finished with toffeed almonds» Coffee here was superb too! The only thing I did not really fancy was the Ned Kelly pie. The crust was good but the whole mixture of filling felt mushy and flavorless. Come here for coffee and a bee sting cake and you can’t go wrong!
