Giorgio’s is a landmark in Malvern. The food is fantastic and the service is great. Best of all, it doesn’t matter what the menu says, you can change any menu item any way you want it to ensure you are happy. The menu changes about every 6 months but look out for the boneless BBQ Ribs. Easily the best thing in the menu when it’s there. Pizza’s are not cheap but they don’t skimp on the toppings and the range is large so no real complaints there. Desserts is Giorgio’s speciality with an array of hand made cakes/gateaux changing daily. If it’s there, go for the Italian Raspberry Tart — my favourite! For the smoker’s out there, Giorgio’s is one of the few restaurants left in Melbourne that has a smoking section(outside undercover so as not to affect anyone else). Overall, a great experience.

I only had a coffee here so can’t say a lot about this café/restaurant. What I can say was that my coffee was great and the staff were super duper friendly! The place was very busy despite it being a Tuesday night(which I’d typically assume would be rather quiet in the hospitality industry!), yet our drinks came out fast. Clean and tidy décor, plenty of seating indoors and out.

Giorgio’s is an iconic grand café/restaurant. I am not the biggest fan of it but that does not mean that they don’t have a following of patrons that come back here time and time again. There is free parking in what my friends and I call«the bat cave» located in the basement off Myamyn St. There is an extensive menu that will meet the tastes of even the fussiest eater, also very large selection of cakes, and can even cater for functions. So with all that they offer why is it that I don’t like Giorgio’s, most likely because of the service, I don’t want to analyse them to much but you get the feeling they are only working there because their parents have stopped giving them pocket money.
