I booked these guys by accident, thinking they were someone else. A little nervous, I googled them only to see them slammed on this. I was even more nervous, but my appointment was in 5 mins. The salon was packed and they were fully booked with regulars, so I thought they can’t be too bad, I’d give them a shot. They were fantastic! The threader nailed the shape that I wanted first go, where my previous threading lady at ella bache always struggled. I searched Brow Theory on facebook and they have over 600 likes and are rated 5⁄5. I nearly cancelled my appointment because of these 3 negative reviews on here, but I am so glad I didn’t! So to anyone that is reading these reviews, go for it, theyre great! I found these negative reviews so unfair that I felt I needed to add my 2 cents because the girls at Brow Theory were fantastic! :)

I’m new to eyebrow threading but trust these guys after having them fix my caterpillars at Miss Fox. They gave advice on where I should leave them to shape them correctly long term, so I have had awkward eyebrows for months trying to grow back where my teen self has butchered one too short. I was happy with the service in the city and happy again when visiting their own salon in Armadale. Like the other reviewers, I have to say the service was brilliant and the lovely owner was very accommodating in getting me an appointment at the last minute. I recommend doing the polite thing and calling ahead, they will call you back the second they can fit you in or have a cancellation. Easy and saves the awkwardness if you walk in and they are booked solid. Unfortunately my eyebrows did not grow back where they needed to, but they were still great at doing the best with what I have an offering advice of what to do makeup wise to lengthen them and even them out. I know there’s plenty of places that do threading for around $ 25 but for the confidence, I’m happy to pay the $ 10. They will give you a loyalty card and every 5th one is free, so you’re actually only paying $ 28 per service in the long run. Overall, very happy with the service and will continue to frequent.

If this was the last place on earth to have eyebrow threading performed then I would happily frequent its dwellings. The boutique salon is clean, modern and very appealing and totally up my alley! However, it’s one of many salons in Melbourne who have recently jumped on the threading bandwagon & after doing my research it becomes even more painstaking to part with $ 35 for an eyebrow shape just because the owner is as cute, sweet and quaint as the little Armadale boutique itself! Just to note, the owner does not do the threading, she sits at small secretary like desk pencilling appointments for the two ladies who work on customers in the shop front in long saloon style barber shop hairdressing chairs. At the end I felt extremely pressured to make a follow appointment even though I’m not an appointment setter… and subsequently missed the date two weeks later. Uncomfortable & awkward or stylish & Chic? I haven’t decided.

I have never had my eyebrows threaded before and it was a great experience. The shop is nestled in King’s Arcade, so you go down this alleyway-like area until you reach it. Ambiance: It’s pretty small with not many available chairs. SETANAPPOINTMENTBEFOREHAND before walk-in will probably be impossible. Customer Service: The owner was gorgeous! And also very very kind and greeted me with a smile. I sat down and the threader asked me what kind of shape I wanted. I just went with my natural shape because I didn’t know much about eyebrows. The threading process did hurt a little bit(after all you’re getting your eyebrows plucked) but she tried her best to accommodate the pain. Afterwards, you’re offered a soothing cream for the skin and makeup to hide the redness. They think of everything! Your 5th touchup is free so that will come in handy soon~ Overall, I like this place. From the outside, it looks like a really cheap and dingy salon. They could definitely do with a bit of expansion because of how tiny it is, but they do a great job and the customer service was lovely.
