This pub is my local and I’m bloody glad to have it. Refreshing lack of pretention, great(giant) pub meals and cheap beer. I often find an excuse to meet up with friends here, or drop by for a night cap on the way home. There’s also a wee beer garden which is definitely a rare thing these days.

The Alderley Arms is a seedy old pub in the heart of Alderley. Located on a busy corner(Samford and Enoggera Roads) this pub has all the classic characteristics of a suburban drinking establishment. The bistro provides great meals(big!) for the hungry visitors, pokie machines for the gambling type and a public bar complete with local talent for those that just want to drop in for a beer. There are always loads of really colourful characters hanging out at the bar and all are willing to engage in a friendly conversation. There is nothing really unique about this pub — it is just a classic Aussie suburban pub where you can get a good feed and a cheap beer.
