I was first introduced to the wonders of bibimbap here and it’s usually a safe option. The food court itself is big and busy but never seem to have any trouble getting a table. It takes a little while to be served(and an electronic counter would be handy so you can see when your order is ready rather than listening out for your number over the general food court noise) but is usually worth the wait. I love the drama and novelty of a sizzling bowl so I always go for«number 1» which is served with chilli sauce on the side and a bowl of tasty miso soup. Serves are generous although the beef content seems to have diminished a bit of late. I’d like to try another dish but find myself always ordering Number 1!

I am obsessed with Korean food and Seoul Express does it well. The mandoo here are fantastic, I had to wait a little while, but the taste of the food completely cancels that out. The staff here are also very friendly and efficient.

One of the very few food court stalls I know that does Korean food and does it authentically well. I love Korean food! It’s one of my top favourite Asian cuisines I thoroughly enjoy eating. I owe my obsession and love to all that is Korean cuisine to Seoul Express having letting my taste buds have the first glimpse of the kick ass flavours that are quintessential to Korean food right here at this humble little spot. It’s top notch quality, it’s fast, convenient and it’s bloody cheap. My favourites are the bibimbap which is rice, meats, egg, hot chilli paste and a variety of fresh julienned veggies in a hot stone bowl in which you mix it as it cooks within it, the mandoo(Korean dumplings) and of course the ddeokbokki which is spicy rice cakes in a hot chilli paste sauce with servings of fried mandoo, julienned carrot, cabbage, fish cake and an egg. Korean food is known for its kick of flavours and it is definitely far from boring. Love the quick, efficient service and the fact I can get wholesome restaurant quality Korean food at lunch time everyday of the week.

Seoul Express does great takeaway/food-court Korean — almost as good as restaurant quality, but quicker and cheaper. Speaking of which, Seoul Express is very cheap and quick. The menu is better(and more traditionally ‘Korean’) than many Korean restaurants I’ve been to. Delicious spicy bright red sauce, little white rice cakes, soups, noodle and rice dishes, some hot, some not. I can attest to what Scott pointed out — the servings are generous. Although there is a lot to try, I’ve only ventured away from the Bibimbap a few times. If you’re taking away just get the regular Bibimbap. It comes with a little salty soup to clear your palate after too. If you’re eating in the food court get the Dolsot — it comes in a big hot stone bowl, and is crisp and delicious. The sauce doesn’t taste horribly artificial and they use my favourite combinations of veges.

G… G…Gi…Giant Hot Pot! Thrice have I ordered the Spicy Hotpot(it’s a nice!), and thrice have I failed to finish. In fact thrice have I failed to get past half way! Granted once I did have 3 sushi rolls before I ordered, but that is beside the point! Seoul Express, in the Southern Cross Arcade makes me feel tingly in many of my happy places. Great flavours, fast service and(as already established) really generous servings! If you order the Spicy Hot Pot(Like me) or any other chilli enhanced option, I would make sure that a: you can handle the heat, and b: you aren’t heading back to work as you may need a familiar throne if you catch my drift?
