Rosemont Hotel

The Rosemont is one of those places you either hate or you love. Admittedly, it used to be a place I wouldn’t be caught dead in. However, it’s since grown on me, and I find myself ending up in the Rosemont more and more as the years go by.
Even though I’m not at all into sports (music took priority), the Rosemont is a great venue to watch major events like the World Cup. Despite the occasional shady character, the clientele are reasonably friendly. I’ve had chats with random folk in the bar and outside, and have started up some pretty interesting conversations.
The bar staff are always super friendly, and you never have to wait long to get a drink. Drink prices are dirt cheap too, and they offer imperial pints for a small price on particular nights. It’s a decent place to start the night, or even finish it off if you can’t be arsed lining up to get in elsewhere.

The Rosemont is Adelaide’s biggest and most popular sports bar.
They show live sports and fights. If there’s an upcoming sports match of some importance, they ill no doubt be airing it.
I’ve only popped in here for a few drinks before, but one thing I can complement the bar staff on is their ability to pour a pint perfectly.
The atmosphere is definitely that of a sports bar. Lots of TVs and pokies.
WHen I went there so many tables were available that we didn’t know where to sit. Must have been during a down period because whenever I walk past, The Rosemont always seems very busy.

There are three pool tables here, all newly felted and spangley, the pool cues are straight and the balls are numbered, what more could you want when it comes to playing pool at a sports bar. The tables are in the middle of everything though, so hold your chin up high when you get the 8 ball in before anything else because you were just «letting them win» (my excuse anyhow).
lots of flat screens up for your viewing pleasure, I tend to ignore them because sports isn’t really my thing and I’m not a gambling man.
I’m not sure how anyone could term The Rosemont «sexy»… it’s a sports bar filled with guys who haven’t showered yelling at a screen… hmm.
Also, back when I was a door girl, I used to send people who werent dressed correctly down to The Rosemont because they were so slack they didn’t have a dress code, am I painting some kind of picture here for you? If you’re a girl, don’t wear a short skirt, you’ll have guys falling on the floor in front of you trying to get a look at what colour underwear you are wearing so they can win a bet with their mates…
Cheapish drinks, the bathroom is clean enough, go for it. but watch out for drunk idiots using cues as weapons, I always worry about that where pool halls are concerned.

Somewhere in the middle of all this intense chemistry, this is what I experienced at Rosemont — a relaxing and chilled out experience from start to finish. With so many small and large TV screens to choose from, loud atmosphere to the menu options and full bar, Rosemont has been a winner around this crowded area, racking up the AHA Sportsbar Award 2002.
The bartenders are absolutely on the ball here — she was very talkative, happy, warm, approachable, accommodating, and her quick service — I’m impressed!
And my lady friend was by my side, watching the English Premier League together. How sexy.
Make sure you have cash ready by the time you step inside. There’s nothing worst than digging into your pockets for an extraordinary amount of time, as your patient bartender is waiting for you.
We drank Russian vodka cokes this time, and we were both much happier that it was stronger than the last pub we went to. I had to go to their bathroom straight away, which were good enough for me. Better than some of the previous pubs I’ve been to.
I even came back another day with my best mate. It’s that good.
This place is an absolute sexy turn-​on for me.
