I have one leg 2 cm shorter than the other. I have had Richard rebuild my shoes with that additional 2cms in at least 4 sets of shoes. 3 pairs of runners and a pair of work shoes. Also regular replacement of soles and other repairs. At present I have 2 pairs of runners so I am never without a pair. The material he uses is light weight and strong. He has also made me an ebook reader leather case, a Dab+ radio case and refashioned a small samsung phablet case I got on the net so i could wear them on my belt. Pleasant, great worker, good prices. IMO no one better. I come in from tea tree gully to get him to do my work. Getting it done out here I have to get it done by him again.

This was the first business I picked solely (well that’s a bit of an unintentional pun) based on Unilocal reviews. I did a massive stocktake of my shoes and found some that I wasn’t ready to get rid of but were badly in need of repair!
They did a great job, it turned out a bit pricier than I expected so I would recommend only bringing irreplaceable shoes to be fixed. What impressed me the most was that one pair (my absolute favourite pair) they told me were unfixable which was good because they could have easily taken my money and done a temporary fix!

PS Richard also shortens and adds new holes to belts, sells handbags, jewellery, travel stuff and will fix just about anything leather.

I’m not a fan of new shoes. Yes I *am* a girl, I know, it freaks me out too. I like quality leather shoes that I can wear in and look like they have a bit of life experience. When I find a great pair of boots, I want to keep ‘em forever.

I also stop in here for shoe accessories to keep my old faves going: polish and shoe laces, leather protector and the like. Invaluable for girls (and guys) who like to have long-​term relationships with their shoes.

I bought my Milleni leather messenger bag from here I’d say about seven years ago and I still wear it everyday. It was the best price I could find at the time and having worked down the road it was a eureka moment when I found it was there in store.
Ideal Shoe Repair performs a great service to the local residents, workers and passers by as they cut keys and repair leather goods and the prices are reasonable.
Besides selling hand bags they also sell lugguage and accesories like belts, shoe laces, shoe inserts and scraves plus jewellery and umbrellas. Being a dealer in leather they also sell leather protection such as polish, sprays and sealants for leather and suede, even motor bike accesories.
Service is fast and friendly and keys are cut on the spot unless there’s a few to do and depending on their work load, but overall a great long standing shop which has recently seen a facelift.

Ideal is my favourite place to take my shoes when they need a little encouragement to keep on truckin. I like to buy quality footwear and that means I’m not willing to give up on these treasures easily. Ideal has re-​souled, stitched and stretched shoes for me in the past. They’re quick, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. They also cut keys, like many of these places do and they have an impressive selection of bags for all occasions in their small shop front. I recently picked up a gorgeous Olga Berg clutch in a half price sale. Bargain!
