Another ‘hole in the wall’ bar which I love popping up around Adelaide. The bar staff know their stuff, and there’s a vast array of drinks to choose from. Exotic rums, local brews and cocktails too. A must check out sort of bar

Four Doors Plus One is Hindley Street’s new come-up. This is in spite of the fact it should really be called Five Doors because it sounds better and is easier to remember. This brand new bar is garden-themed, with grass green walls and a white picket fence sectioning off an upper floor filled with retro lounges. The bar is a long timber affair staffed by a very friendly bartender, and has a large range of spirits inside stacks of Tetris-like wooden shelving.
On Friday lunchtimes Four Doors Plus One hosts a barbeque by Share Catering. This crew not only make delicious pork and coleslaw sliders with aioli and fries, they do great community work too. Along with your yum bun, you can pay $ 3.00 extra and buy a person in need at the Hutt Street Centre a burger too. You just hand over your three dollars and pick out a name tag, enabling you and another less fortunate person to eat like Kings for a day. Four Doors Plus One are currently an exhibition space for SALA, and the walls are adorned with fantastic work from our local artists. But while the SALA exhibition is a pop-up, Four Doors Plus One is here to stay. Just say yes to pork sliders and spirits while people watching in a white wicker spinning chair. We were even lucky enough to be treated to an impromptu tap dancing performance by an over-excited staff member. If you can’t make it on share burger Friday fear not, they have a tapas menu for you to get into on the other days. Also, this place is so new they haven’t had an opening party yet: watch this space.
