Mediocre at best… the interior reminds me on a train stations waiting area… The food was mediocre at best, starter chicken was overlooked, dry and not spiced at all it seemed. The butter chicken — somewhere described here as the best in a while — was definitely not amongst the very good ones for me. The meat again was dry, the sauce not spiced, I asked for several herbs and spices to make it chewable. Nice service, but I was the only person all night long, so attention could be expected. Will not return.

The menu is a long one with many options for any taste. Even the cocktail list is extensive. The mixed entrée for two was enough for three and was very tasty, even the vegetarian ones. :) Rogan Josh was tender, the Tadka Dal was flavoursome and the Prawn Malaka(yeah, I can’t remember the name) was smooth and creamy with the prawns cooked to perfection. Oh, and the presentation was authentic and stylish. Paper on the table and not bringing water loses ½ a star.(Thanks, Tamara :)

Another quality Indian place in the CBD. Dine in or take away you’re going to be full of delicious curry and naan. Love the service, and I have a soft spot in my heart for the food. There is also in-house entertainment, bollywood and belly dancers dancers come out and get the room pumping. It’s a nice touch to the ambiance, making it more vibrant. The food is mouthwatering on all accords, banquets and group style options are great value.

I’ve gotten takeaway from here when I’ve been staying nearby, and I’m pretty happy with what I’ve gotten for my money. It’s an inexpensive but really good place to get a feed. I had a butter chicken with rice and naan, and it was awesome. Pretty cheap, too. Like, less than $ 20. The service was fairly quick, although the place does seem to be busy. And if you do find that you need to wait, well, it’s worth it. I’ll be going back.
