The Laundry Company

Oct. 29, 2015– So I am sitting in my hotel reviewing this place because of all of the positive reviews I read previously… Please note: this is a negative review.
I dropped off and pre-​paid three loads of laundry, all separated, yesterday. Today when I went to pick up, the different set of employees informed me that my simple instructions weren’t followed. Unfortunately for me, that meant ruined items. My husband and I are here celebrating our honeymoon. We only brought a certain number of items. We pre-​separated our darks, lights and hang dry items for them. All items could be treated equally except the hang dry items. Upon pick up, we were informed that all items had been dried because the employee who had attended us was not there the second day. This was their excuse for drying (read: RUINING) our delicate and wool items that are now pilled and child-​sized. What a terrible misfortune. All they could do was repay my hang dry load… As if 40 argentine pesos could replace the value of the entire load of delicate and woolen items. I do not recommend them. Clearly they don’t have a system of communicating simple instructions to one another. Lesson learned on my part, and hopefully, this is a lesson for them as well. October 29, 2015

This is an ok place to go if you are staying at a hotel in the area.
Pros: it’s cheaper than most of the lavanderías. They charged us 40 pesos for three bushels worth — the lavanderías lavaya charged us 40 pesos per bushel
Cons: they didn’t really fold the clothes well — the clothes came back sloppily folded and wrinkled, and still wet. They didn’t smell as good as they do from lavaya either.

De The Laundry Company me gusta que llevaron el servicio de lavandería un pasito más allá: la primera vez que vas te regalan una bolsa de algodón para que transportes tu ropa y la re-​utilices cada vez que vuelvas. También, cuentan con un servicio «express», dónde por una diferencia de precio pueden tenerte tu ropa lavada, seca y planchada en solo tres horas.
También reciben y lavan prendas delicadas. Obviamente, hay que hacérselos saber con antelación para que las laven y las sequen como corresponde, sino todo termina yendo a lava-​ropas y a la secadora!
En The Laundry Company también cuentan con servicio de tintorería. Este servicio se suele demorar un poquito más, por lo que está bueno preguntar cuánto tardan antes de dejar la ropa.

The Laundry Company es una lavandería, que además ofrece servicio de tintorería y arreglo de ropa. En mi experiencia trabajan muy bien y cumplen con los plazos de entrega. Siempre tienen promociones para ropa de cama. Brindan un servicio ecológico a precio amigo. La primera vez que vas te regalan una bolsa de tela para que la utilices como forma de transportar la ropa, entre el local y tu casa, cada vez que vayas. Un dato de color es que el dueño es australiano, se llama Philip. Es muy simpático. Una vez fui a llevar ropa y me devolvió 20 pesos que, sin querer, me había cobrado de más la última vez. Algo importante a tener en cuenta: se manejan con secarropas, y es posible que muchas prendas se achiquen en este proceso. Asi que es clave avisarle a las chicas que te toman el pedido que querés que te sequen la ropa colgada. Puede tardar un día más, pero te asegurás que no se te va a dañar.
