Foto Ruta Foto Ruta is about bringing the city and its streets to life though photography. We believe the greatest way to see and explore a place is with your camera in tow. And its not about snapping pictures so you can remember moments later. Actually, for us, its all about the journey, and the moment itself.

If we were Buddhists we’d call it mindfulness, but we’re photographers so we’re going to call it ‘creative seeing’, And all of our tours, events and workshops (see products link) are designed with this mantra in mind. We use photography to explore away from the well trodden tourist routes, uncovering the genuine side of the city, and capture it on camera.

So far, Foto Ruta has set up base in Buenos Aires, Santiago (Chile), Barcelona ad London, with pop up events in Montréal, San Franisco and New York.

Fundado en 2011.

Foto Ruta is the brainchild of two Buenos Aires based entrepreneurs, one from Canada (Joss) and one from the UK (Becks). With their combined creative minds, marketing backgrounds and an unconditional love for photography and the city, Foto Ruta was born.

The Foto Ruta brand and concept was developed between April and September 2011 and launched in October 2011, at the beginning of Buenos Aires’ tourist season. It was met by a raft of praise from clients and journalists for its unique approach to tourism and photography tuition followed by impressive media coverage from high profile international and local media titles such as Time Out, Lonely Planet, Magazine Buenos Aires, BBC Travel Online, The Argentina Independent, Buenos Aires Herald, Travel & Leisure, Huffington Post Travel, Get Addicted To, Fodor’s Online Travel Guide, and many more.

Foto Ruta has expanded with pop events in New York and bases now in Santiago (Chile), London and Barcelona.
