Günes Restaurant

Da ich einige male bei Günes essen war, wollte ich meine Schwiegereltern überraschen und sie dort zum Essen einladen. Diesmal bestellte ich statt Lamm, was jedes mal lecker war, Lachs und bat den Fisch nicht so lange zu braten damit er saftig blieb. Statt Lachs bekam ich Hänchenbrust. Habe das Gericht zurück gehen lassen. Es kam ein frischer Teller … mit Hänchenbrust. Ich habe nochmal reklamiert. Das dritte mal bekam ich den Fisch, aber keinen Lachs, sondern Seelachs. Die Bedienung sagte sie haben nur Seelachs, obwohl auf der Speisekrarte Lachs steht. Es war alles sehr enttäuschend! Meine Familie hatte schon lange gegessen und wartete auf mich. Ich musste meine Speise nicht bezahlen und wir bekamen eine Süßspeise aufs Haus, das Mindeste, was man uns abieten konnte. Der Chef war auch im Restaurant, hat sich aber nicht gemeldet. Die Bedienung sagte zum Schluß, sie kennt sich mit Fisch nicht aus und der Koch, wie es aussieht, auch nicht!

Ich hatte mich auf leckeres türkisches Essen gefreut. Das Ambiente ist wie vor 30 Jahren im alten «Bella Italia», es riecht stark nach altem Fett, die Bedienungen sind langsam und nicht sehr freundlich und das Essen hat einfach nicht geschmeckt!

Das Essen ist hier zwar sehr günstig, aber so schmeckt es auch. Der Service war sehr langsam und eine Beratung fand nicht wirklich statt — was mir persönlich immer sehr wichtig ist, bei Restaurantbesuchen. Einzige Lichtblicke sind die guten Parkmöglichkeiten, das schöné Ambiente und das günstige Essen. Das Dessert (Künefe) war aber sehr lecker.

I really didn’t enjoy this place. I walked in to what looked like a restaurant only to find the kabob shop counter in front of me. There is a waiter and tables to sit at if you would prefer a restaurant experience vice the fast food kabob shop experience. I almost got up and left during the time I waited for the waiter to take my order, but I really didn’t want to be that person. I should have left. The menu appeared to have less choice than the board behind the counter. To drink they offered canned sodas or fountain drinks, but not much else. When I got my food the Iskender plate it was extremely salty red sauce over very crispy doner meat. I never leave food, but just couldn’t manage to eat this. I do not recommend even if you are looking for a typical kabob shop. The last thing that made this place bad, was the temperature inside. I was freezing, I had to put my jacket back on during the meal, and others at other tables were not happy about the extreme cold.
